Know exactly how much power your Mac is getting.

A menu bar app that shows the max wattage your charger has negotiated with your Mac. It warns you when a slow cable or an underpowered charger is holding back your charging speed, tells you which charger is actually your best, and tracks how well each one performs over time.

Why WattsConnected?

Many modern USB-C chargers have multiple ports that dynamically change the wattage output based on the number of devices connected — and even the right charger can be held back by the wrong cable. WattsConnected puts the max negotiated wattage right in your menu bar and tells you when a cable is the bottleneck, so you always know whether your Mac is getting the power it needs.

Slow cable detection

Know the moment a slow or underrated USB-C cable is capping a higher-wattage charger — and exactly what to replace. See why your Mac might be charging slowly.

Underpowered charger alerts

If your battery is still draining even though a charger is plugged in, WattsConnected tells you the charger can't keep up with your Mac's power draw — so you know it's not a settings problem.

Best/worst charger, at a glance

The menu bar dropdown tells you in real time whether the charger you're using right now is your fastest — or your slowest.

Battery health at a glance

Capacity, cycle count, condition, and time remaining — right in the dropdown, with a warning when your battery's aging.

Compatibility

WattsConnected only works on battery-powered Macs (MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Neo). It does not work on iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, or Mac Pro because those models don't expose adapter wattage information to the system.

Your data stays on your Mac.

WattsConnected collects no personal information and does not run analytics or other data collection software on your machine. All charging history is stored locally.
